The former Governor of Anambra state, Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi has sympathized with the family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba a.k.a. Mohbad over the sudden death of their son.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (8 June 1996 – 12 September 2023), also known as Mohbad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter from Lagos. He died last Tuesday, 12th September 2023 after allegedly receiving injections for an ear infection and was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos on Wednesday, 13th September 2023.
Peter Obi on his X account sympathized with the deceased family over the painful demise of their son, Mohbad. He acknowledged that the son had a bright future and was touched by his death.
He further urged the government and the security agencies to probe the circumstances that led to his untimely demise and to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances surrounding his death.
He wrote,
On behalf of my family, I condole with the mother and entire family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, Mohbad, over his painful demise. I know how difficult it is for parents to lose a child, especially one with such a promising future as his.
I urge the government and the security agencies to probe the circumstances that led to his untimely demise and to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances surrounding his death. With his demise, the nation has lost a promising talent in our growing music and and entertainment industry. I pray God to grant him eternal rest, and grant his parents, family, and teeming fans the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss.
