Manchester united club announces that Mason Greenwood will no longer play for the club anymore

Manchester united club have announced that Manson will John Greenwood, English professional footballer will not be playing for them again.


Manchester United has confirmed that Mason Greenwood will not play for the club again.

According to independent news, Greenwood and Manchester United came to a mutual agreement on the forward’s future.

All those involved, including Manson, recognize the difficulties with him recommencing his career at Manchester United. It has therefore been mutually agreed that it would be most appropriate for him to do so away from Old Trafford – Manchester United- 21 August 2023.

Greenwood was arrested in January 2022 for attempted rape assault and coercive control.

The charges against the 21yrs old were dropped in February 2023by the crown prosecution service.

In early August 2023, reports emerged that the club was to bring the 21 year old back into the squad.

However, after this news leaked, there was video spread uproar in the football world.
It was thought this may have prompted Manchester United to change their verdict.

Recall that, In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of raping and assaulting a woman, and a few days later on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill. Since then, Greenwood has not trained with, or appeared for, either his club or his national team.

Mason Will John Greenwood (born 1 October 2001) is an English professional footballer who played as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United until 2023.

A graduate of United’s youth system, Greenwood scored in a UEFA Europa League match against Astana in September 2019, to become the club’s youngest ever goal scorer in European competition at the age of 17 years.
