Hasen beckoz, around 12:30 on October 7, 2021 approached a 23yrs old Nigerian student named only as BNU near the near east university of lefkosa,while she was waiting for a taxi to gonyeli to her residence.
Hasen offered to drop her at home,and then took her to a deserted place in dikmen.
when the vehicle stopped, the young woman tried to escape, but was caught and beaten and was taken back to the car.
After hasen has raped the young woman in the back seat, he offered her money not to tell the police which she refused,he then threatened to kill her.
On Friday, april 13, hasen berkoz was sentenced to 12yrs in prison by the court in lefkosa for been found guilty of rape and assault.
it caused the young woman severe trauma and still she hasn’t recovered from it and the sexual rape crime committed against her bodily integrity also inflicted deep wounds on her soul in favour of his action, “said the judge.
